Neo Geo Information Neo Geo – a system of arcade machines, released by SNK (Shin Nihon Kikaku) in October 1990 in Japan. But also the system has the full name of Neo Geo Multi Video System (abbreviated as Neo Geo MVS). Neo Geo means new world. Decades have passed since I discovered MAME in late 1997. The acronym stands for Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator When video game files for arcade games spread over several other fan pages I also decided to create this page in the year 2000. Because I couldn't find any fan page having screenshots or photos of the games at this time. The wiki pages for MAME, FB Neo, and Neo Geo include DATs and detailed information about the ROM sets needed for the various arcade emulators. The remainder of this section of the docs is devoted to a demonstration of using ClrMamePro to rebuild and validate arcade ROM sets. There are may sites where the Neo Geo pack is available, but when i tried them most of the download links were broken. But no need to worry as this is the link to a forum from where you can get the full basic pack along with the add-on pack.

After doing a bit looking, it does have a lot of the classical NES titles that a lot of us remember. Who ever made this RAR file also did the right thing by putting the files in the places they belong in. PD files in a PD folder, etc. It's also separated by country as well. It also includes Pirated, Hacked, Unlicensed, even Translated titles. Now let me explain this a bit. If you can't find the title, you may need to look under the 'World' folder as that includes titles that is world known, such as Hogan's Alley, Excite Bike, Duck Hunt, Mario Bros.
My only concern is that there is no 'Japanese' titles, let alone folder. So, although it does have a very good collection of NES titles, just curious why it does not include Japanese titles. Yes, I am aware that a lot of titles are translated in Japan as well as USA, but there are also a ton of titles that are not in any other country other than Japan.
Yes, the 'Translated' folder has Japanese titles, but some of us prefer the original translations of the game. Mainly because sometimes the 'translated' titles have bugs due to the translation, and sometimes crash the game.Hi, I paste the links but only getting adult ads :P.

I don't really have the games...I have every ROM. Every ROM that Mame and NeoRageX supports. Took me a long time to find and download all of them. I even have the new Fatal Fury: Mark of the Wolves.
But, I have come to the conclusion that the Neo Geo has to be one of the worst systems ever.
Honestly, when you have all the games in front of you, you can see that the VAST majority of them just suck all kinds of ass.
Arcade Punks Neo Geo Rom Setup
Many, many of these games aren't even worth a quarter to play them in the arcade, yet they sold for $200 on cartridge. The Neo Geo had some of the best fighting and shooting games there were, but these genres account for %80 of the games on the system.
I am really glad I never got an MVS, as the only stuff worth playing is:

Last Blade series
Samurai Showdown series
Waku Waku 7
Metal Slug series
Fatal Fury series
King of Monsters
and maybe 8 other games who's titles I forgot...plus I may be forgetting some games.
I can't believe that people paid $200 a game to play some of these.
Oh well...I'm glad I completed my collection, as some of the better games are really good. REALLY GOOD. But I just can't see how some people rationalized buying this system. (I admit...I almost bought a Neo Geo CD system, but I didnt once I experienced the loading time). People must have had to be really hardcore into the few good games to spend so much to play them.
